The Fowler Center has a core administrative team that runs the camp and supports our campers daily on a year round basis. This team includes a variety of individuals who have knowledge and experience in providing programs and services for children and adults with special needs.

Kyle became Executive Director of The Fowler Center in 2009. Her past experience includes many years at The Children's Home of Detroit and also time with the Foundation for Exceptional Children. Kyle is the recipient of The ARC of Oakland County's 2017 Distinguished Service Dove Award.

 Swimming, hangin' in my mock (hammock that is!), XC skiing at sunset.....there are too many to choose!

Lynn started at The Fowler Center by volunteering for a respite weekend in September 2004. Over the next 2 years she worked at camp as a weekend respite counselor, the 2005 Outpost Coordinator, and 2006 Program Coordinator. After graduating in May 2007 from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation she started working full time as Assistant Director.

Julius went to Northern Michigan University where he graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management. Since 2012 Julius has been gaining camp experience with the YMCA and is now excited to bring his skills and new ideas to The Fowler Center.

With lots of previous camp and riding experience Mary loves teaching everyone at camp how to be comfortable on a horse. Mary is certified as an instructor through CHA - Certified Horsemanship Association.

Shannon lives in our town of Mayville and is excited to experience the sounds of summer, learn to facilitate the Ropes Course, and meet all the campers and families we serve.

Isabel Jakob
World Horizon Volunteer*

Favorite Camp Activity: Orienteering

Isabel is 18 and from Dresden, Germany. She will be with The Fowler Center from August 2017-August 2018 living at both camp and a local host family. Throughout the year Isabel will be primarily working as a cabin/program staff to ensure our campers are having a safe and fun away from home experience. At other times Isabel will be helping in different departments at camp and volunteering at a local daycare in town. She is looking forward to learning more about the individuals we serve and American culture.
